[MedTOWN] The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development’s Goodwill Family Relief Fund in response to the economic impact of COVID-19

Established in 1977, JOHUD, the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development, is committed to promoting sustainable human development and enhancing local participation and socio-economic wellbeing for vulnerable groups in Jordan, through a network of community development centres.

In the context of MedTOWN project, it will co-produce services for people with disabilities through operating a Social Business Incubator hosted by the Ministry of Social Development, and advocating at the policy making level.

In April 2020, JOHUD launched the Goodwill Family Relief Fund in response to the economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis and the repercussions facing some of the country’s impoverished families, particularly those with no incomes, with members with disabilities or children without a parent.

Through its network of CDCs and its experience running the annual Goodwill Campaign which was launched in 1991 by HRH Princess Basma bint Talal, JOHUD has a proven ability to provide emergency support to those who need it most.
